Hello, my name is Bonnie Adams. I am an Atlanta native, who can typically be found spending any spare time behind a lens at animal control, making all sorts of outrageous noises to get a dog's attention. I have been drawn to animals since I was a child, so it's no surprise that some of my first memories are of being herded around the backyard, Australian Shepherd puppy nipping at my heels. I started volunteering with my Mother at Clayton County Animal Control in January of 2012, and we were both instantly hooked! Partners for Pets, Inc. a registered 501c3 non-profit was soon thereafter born, and has played a major role in my life ever since. We have successfully reduced the euthanasia rate from over 83% to less than 3%, and have drawn major attention to the plight of the unwanted dog due to overpopulation. In working these trenches, I have not only learned tremendous amounts about dogs, dog behaviors, and dog illnesses, but have also gained extensive knowledge of the dog rescue community itself as well as created a long list of contacts stretching across the country.
